The Digital Media Lab is currently involved in several ongoing projects including:

• The National Science Foundation, The Internet Science Institute.
  
  
• Bridging the Gap Between Information "Haves" and "Have Nots": With funding from the McGowan Charitable Funds and the Shriver Center for Service Learning, the center has worked with organizations and agencies that do not have easy access to new communication technology to explore how to bridge that gap.
  
  
• Interactivity Research Project: The Digital Media Lab is conducting a long term research project aimed at understanding the "interactive" element of interactive media.
