Internet and Interactive Media I explores the emergence of the Internet, particularly the World Wide Web, as a new medium of communication.

This class has three objectives:

  • To examine the history, development and implications of computer-mediated communications with a particular focus on the Internet.

  • To teach the skills necessary to develop computer-mediated communications solutions to a variety of communications problems.

  • To explore the social, cultural, and economic ramifications of the stratification of media in an information society.

Students are expected to uphold the Loyola honor code which will be strictly enforced. Any student who believes they may need adaptations based on a disability should see me during office hours.
