HTML Skills Test
The objective of
this test is to see if you have learned HTML mark-up language.
It will be an open book, open note test worth 20 percent
of your grade.
The grading
criteria: accuracy
(100 percent)
This assignment
tests the following skills:
- HTML grammar: structure
of tags <html> <body> etc.
- tag attributes
- background colors,
text color, link color, viewed link color, active
link color
- text formatting tags: font,
size, color, headings, bold, italics, underline,
blockquote, alignment and centering, paragraphs
and line breaks.
- lists: ordered, unordered,
nested
- pathnames (identify
the correct path to various files in different
directories)
- image placement,
image alignment, image links
- anchor tag: absolute
(external) links, relative (internal) links,
jump down links (linking within a page), email
links
- tables
Additional notes:
As you learn to program, you will want to develop a methodology
for catching your mistakes. This test is geared to check
that methodology.
