Beans & Bread is a meal and outreach program located in the Fells Point area of Baltimore City. Aside from the meal, Beans &Bread staff and volunteers attempt to meet a variety of the needs of people who are homeless, on a fixed income, unemployed, underemployed, physically or mentally disabled.
Care-A-Van
Care-A-Van is a student run organization that works with men and women in Baltimore who are homeless or poor. Volunteers areneeded once or twice a week to make sandwiches, collect clothes, fund raise,and accompany the van in giving out food and clothing. Cathedral Housing
Cathedral Housing is a Cathedral of Mary Our Queen parish housing rehabilitation program which operates in conjunction with St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center. By concentrating on one street, Cathedral volunteershave come to know the Cator Ave. residents and have been able to support them in their struggle to upgrade their community and provide recreational opportunities for the neighborhood children. Viva House Baltimore Catholic Worker
The work of Viva House includes a soup kitchen and a food pantry. They serve meals to approximately 200-400 people who live inthe surrounding neighborhood. Volunteers are asked to help prepare, serve and clean up the meals.
