Using Fireworks for Graphics Optimization

Fireworks (like ImageReady) helps you to export your graphics and photographs at the smallest possible file size.

Fireworks can make your graphics and photos load much quicker by reducing the file size.

Start Fireworks--> File --> Open --> Export
and you will see the following window:

At the bottom of the right half of the screen, above the Set Defaults button, you can split your screen view to compare different file formats

You can change the format between GIF and JPEG and preview with the split screen what each will look like and what the file size will be. Use this feature to export your image so that they look as good as they can with the lowest possible file size.
