Site Management with Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver has a Site Management window, that organizes
all of the files in your site. The site management window will
help to organize your File
Structure, as well as allow you to manage file names, links
and folders within your site.
In order to use the site management window, you
first must define your local root folder. Your local root folder,
according to the file structure scheme we are using, will be your
last name. If you are working on your final project site, then
the name of this folder can be your local root folder. The Site
Management Window is also the FTP window, allowing you to put
your local files (from your disk) on the server (the Web). See
Using FTP with
Dreamweaver for more on transferring files to the Web server.
