CD371 Internet and Interactive Media II explores the dynamic, interactive, and multimedia elements of the World Wide Web including animation, aesthetics, data collection and advanced interactivity.

This class has three objectives:

  • To explore effective methods of using animation and sound to communicate a message.

  • To develop an understanding of aesthetical concepts in multimedia and interactive design.

  • To teach the skills necessary to develop and maintain computer-mediated communications solutions to a variety of communications problems.

Students are expected to uphold the Loyola honor code which will be strictly enforced. Any student who believes they may need adaptations based on a disability should see me during office hours.

Flash 5! Creative Web Animation (With CD-ROM) by Derek Franklin, Brooks Patton

Recommended Texts

If you do not already have an HTML reference book you should buy one. Also, depending on your familiarity with Dreamweaver I would suggest buying a Dreamweaver 4 reference book. See me for a list of recommendations.
